1SG Julio C. Trevino is from San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Highlands High School and enlisted into the Army on 29 June 2005. 1SG Trevino completed basic combat training at Fort Benning, GA and attended advanced individual training at Fort Sam Houston, TX, earning the MOS 68R, Veterinary Food Inspection Specialist.

1SG Trevino’s various assignments include: Food Inspector, 72nd MDVSS, Wurzburg, GE; Food Inspection NCO, Fort Carson, CO; Veterinary Service NCO, Naval Base Guam; Team Leader, 463rd MDVSS, Fort Benning, GA; Detailed Recruiter, McAllen, TX; Platoon Sergeant, Hanscom AFB, MA; BN Operations NCO, Veterinary Readiness Activity, Fort Belvoir, VA. 1SG Trevino has deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraq Freedom 05-06; deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 08-09 and 11-12; deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Spartan Shield 15-16.

1SG Trevino’s Military and Civilian education includes the Basic Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, Master Leaders Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, SHARP Foundation Course, Master Fitness Trainer Course, Master Resilience Trainers Course, Army Recruiting Course, Anti-terrorism/Force Protection Level II Course, Modern Army Combative Level One, Commander’s Safety Course, Unit Prevention Leader Course, Combat Lifesaver Course, Hazardous Materiel Drivers Course, Technical Transportation of HAZMAT Course, Advance Food Technology Course, Field Sanitation Course, and the Air Assault Course. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science.

He currently resides in Fort Belvoir, VA with his wife Christian and two kids, Isaiah and Janessa.
