Mission:
Veterinary Readiness Activity, Fort Belvoir provides comprehensive Veterinary Health Services ensuring the health and safety of all Department of Defense populations within the 13 states and District of Columbia area of responsibility and delivers a tactical and medical ready force to operational Commanders.

National Capital Region and Northeastern U.S. spanning 13 states, covering 25 DOD installations, operating 12 veterinary medical facilities.  
 
 
Unique Missions: High profile mission due to location – The Old Guard/Caisson Platoon, Military District of Washington, US Secret Service, Pentagon Force Protection Agency, US Capitol Police, US Supreme Court, Washington DC Metropolitan Airport Authority
