LIEUTENANT COLONEL NOEL KUBAT
Commander, Veterinary Readiness Activity, Fort Knox
Lieutenant Colonel Noel Kubat commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 2005 through the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) at South Dakota State University. She received an educational delay to attend veterinary school at the University of Minnesota, where she was subsequently awarded a three-year Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) scholarship. LTC Kubat graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and Masters in in Public Health degrees in 2009 and was commissioned as a Captain in the US Army Veterinary Corps. Her first duty assignment was with the Northeast District Veterinary Command, Fort Drum Branch, New York where she served as a Section OIC and Branch Chief from 2009-2011. In 2011, she moved to Alaska as the Public Health Command - Joint Base Lewis McChord, Fort Wainwright Branch Section OIC and Branch Chief. In her next assignment, LTC Kubat left her family in Alaska to serve as the Area Support Group, Kuwait, Bahrain Branch Veterinary Services, Officer in Charge supporting animal health and food safety and defense programs in Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. She returned to Alaska in 2015 to pick up her family and was reassigned to the US Army Human Recourses Command (HRC) at Fort Knox, KY as a Veterinary Corps Career Manager and Deputy Chief. After four years at HRC, LTC Kubat completed Long Term Health Education and Training in food safety at the University of Kentucky from 2019-2022. LTC Kubat currently serves as the Commander, Veterinary Readiness Activity, Fort Knox, Fort Knox, Kentucky.
LTC Kubat is a graduate of the AMEDD Basic Officer Course and Captains Career Course, in addition to the US Army Command and General Staff College, Intermediate Level Education, and US Army Airborne School. She is a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. LTC Kubat’s award and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (with one oak leaf cluster), Army Commendation Medal (with one oak leaf cluster), Army Achievement Medal (with one oak leaf cluster), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and the Parachutist Badge. She is married to her husband Aaron, for the past 17 years and has four children, Nora, Brian, Ava, and Bradley.
