First Sergeant Javier J. Rodriguez was born in Ceiba, Puerto Rico. He joined the Army and completed basic training at Fort Benning, GA in 2003. He went on to Advanced Individual Training as a 68R, Veterinary Food Inspection Specialist, at Fort Sam Houston, TX. He completed one combat tour in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2007.
