
MAJOR MONICA R. VIDAURRI
Director, Public Health Command, East Technical Services
MAJ Monica Vidaurri was born in Kennewick, Washington. She entered active duty in 1999 as a member of the Ordinance Corps. After completing her initial 3-year obligation she transitioned to the Army Reserves while completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. She received a Direct Commission as a Quartermaster Officer in 2009. While working for the Department of Energy at Hanford Nuclear Power Plant as an Environmental Scientist, she accepted a branch transfer as an Active Duty Officer in the Medical Service Corps as an Environmental Science and Engineer Officer in 2011. She later went on to complete her master’s in public health in 2020.
Her military education includes attendance at the Quartermaster Basic Officer Course, Sling Load Inspector Certification Course, Blue Force Tracking Operators Course, AMEDD Officer Basic Course, Principles of Preventive Medicine Course, Basic Industrial Hygiene Course Certification, DoD Pest Management Course, Army Basic Instructors Course, AMEDD Captain's Career Course, Principles of Preventive Medicine Senior Leaders Course, Food Water Risk Assessment Certification, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Combatives Level I, Commander /First Sergeant Course, Command and General Staff College, Operational Contracting Support Certification, Defense Strategic Course, Joint Medical Operators Course, Joint Medical Planners Training Course, and is a member of the National Environmental Health Association.

MAJ Vidaurri is married to Dr. Shauna Vidaurri and has three children; Ezekiel 23 years of age, Isaiah 18 years of age, Israel 13 years of age.
