Lieutenant Colonel Nadine Alonzo is the Commander of Veterinary Readiness Activity, Fort Eisenhower, U.S. Army Medical Command, Fort Eisenhower, GA.
LTC Alonzo recently served as both Systems Synchronization Officer, Force Management Directorate, Deputy Chief of Staff G-8, Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA), The Pentagon and Deputy for Logistics, Force Management Division, G-3/5/7, Office of the Surgeon General, HQDA. LTC Alonzo formulated and executed strategies, plans and resourcing in support of Army Medical priorities.
LTC Alonzo enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve in 2002, completing Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO as an Honor Graduate of the Motor Transport Operator (88M) course. In 2006, LTC Alonzo was recognized as a Distinguished Military Graduate of the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) and commissioned as a Regular Army second lieutenant. Upon graduation from the Medical Service Corps Officer Basic Course at Fort Sam Houston, TX, LTC Alonzo was awarded the Health Services Administration (70B) Area of Concentration (AOC). LTC Alonzo is also a graduate of the AMEDD Captain’s Career Course and U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

LTC Alonzo is a 2002 graduate of Antioch College, having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences. In 2006, LTC Alonzo earned a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Health Sciences and Master of Science in Acupuncture from New York College of Health Pressions. In 2018, LTC Alonzo earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina. In 2019, LTC Alonzo earned a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. LTC Alonzo holds a Graduate Certificate in Project Management from the University of North Carolina. LTC Alonzo is a National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Diplomate and Board-Certified Acupuncturist.
LTC Alonzo deployed in support of multiple contingency operations including Operation ENDURING FREEDOM (2002 and 2013), Operation IRAQI FREEDOM (2008) and Operation INHERENT RESOLVE (2016). LTC Alonzo’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (4 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (one oak leaf cluster), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Meritorious Unit Citation (3 OLC).
