LIEUTENANT COLONEL KIMI DAMASSIA-RHOADES

Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Damassia-Rhoades, raised in Queens, NY, began her military career in November 2001 as a 68W Healthcare Specialist. She attended the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School at Fort Moore, earning her commission as a regular Army Medical Service Corps Officer in July 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Armstrong Atlantic State University and a Master of Health Administration from Baylor University.
LTC Kimi Damassia-Rhoades previously served as the military assistant to the Principal Deputy Inspector General for the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General. She also served as a DoD Medical Program Evaluator for the Department of Defense Office of the Inspector General conducting evaluations of military healthcare programs, processes, and policies addressing priority national objectives.
LTC Damassia-Rhoades' experience within the military health system includes Deputy Commander for Administration at Kirk U.S. Army Health Clinic; Chief Managed Care Division, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany; Executive Officer at the Division of Army Health Clinics, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany; and Chief of Business Decision Support at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
LTC Damassia-Rhoades' previous operational assignments include Deputy Support Operations Officer, Regimental Support Squadron, 3d Cavalry Regiment, Fort Cavazos, TX; Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 61st Multifunctional Medical Battalion, Fort Cavazos, TX; Brigade Future Operations Officer, 1st Medical Brigade, Fort Cavazos, TX; 2nd Brigade Combat Team (BCT) Liaison Officer with the Department of State Provincial Reconstruction Team, Kirkuk, Iraq; S-4 Officer, 15th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd BCT, Fort Cavazos, TX; Company Executive Officer, 15th Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd BCT, Fort Cavazos, TX; and Company Executive Officer, 232nd Medical Battalion, 32nd Medical Brigade, Fort Sam Houston, TX.
LTC Damassia-Rhoades is a graduate of the Command and General Staff Officers’ course. Her military education also includes the AMEDD Officer Basic Course, AMEDD Officer Advance Course, AMEDD Executive Skills Course, and the Joint Inspector General Course.
Her awards, decorations, and honors include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (with two Oak Leaf Clusters), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (with two Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Achievement Medal, Department of State Meritorious Honor Award, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M-device, the Combat Action Badge, and the Order of the Spur (Gold).
LTC Damassia-Rhoades is married to Army Medical Corps Officer LTC Daniel Rhoades. Together, they have one daughter, Alix, who is five.
